• Books: I don't do much reading, other than the many children's books that my little man insists on reading over and over and over again. However, I do greatly enjoy a good story and will never forget a short story I once read in Chicken Soup for the Soul, written by Laura Jeanne Allen.
• Food: I have a passion for food and greatly enjoy food that is in season and prepared perfectly. One of my favorite "food" experiences was during a trip I took to Portland, OR in early August. During my visit I toured many beautiful wine vineyards, hiked trails along some of the most impressive waterfalls where I enjoyed freshly picked wild fruit, deep sea fished for crab and oysters, and even learned how to pull clams from the sandy beaches. I was then taught how to clean and prepare each food that I had picked, fished, or gathered. Not only was that an experience on it's own, I had the opportunity to drive around on a personal guided tour visiting the local cheese factory and hitting some of the best local shops/stores where fruit was freshly grown and jams/jellies, syrups, and candy was hand-made and much to my enjoyment!
• Music: Music is the best medicine for ones soul. I am in love with music and from as far back as I can remember, I have listened to it loudly, and sang and danced along as a drive in my car. Yes, I am one of those whom you pull up next to and point and laugh at. I have many favorite songs, listing just a few of my current faves: LMFAO's Sexy and I know it, John Fogerty's Centerfield, Nitty Gritty Dirtband's Fishin' in the dark, Lady Gaga's You and I, again with Lady Gaga, Born this way, Luke Bryan's Country Girl, and countless hit's by Eminem, my favorite of which is Shake That.
