AITKIN -- An Aitkin County jury found a 45-year-old McGregor man guilty Wednesday of three counts related to the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Raymond Michael Bodick was arrested Sept. 23 along with several other individuals at a Shamrock Township residence after law enforcement officers from the Aitkin County Sheriff's Department, the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Aitkin Police Department executed a search warrant at the house, Aitkin County Sheriff Dennis Landborg said in a news release Thursday.

The jury deliberated about 75 minutes before returning guilty verdicts against Bodick for first-degree controlled substance crime, conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime and fifth-degree controlled substance crime, Landborg said.

Bodick's sentencing is scheduled for 3 p.m. March 3.

Landborg also paid tribute to Thomas Wyatt, a special agent with the BCA who was killed in a vehicle accident in March in Aitkin County.

"He was very instrumental in clandestine lab investigations in this region and assisted greatly in this case," Landborg said in the news release.
