PINE CENTER -- Three people were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 2 in Pine Center.
According to the sheriff's department report, driver Carol Sergent, 43, and a passenger, Tanya Jones, 18, stopped to check for mail in front of the Sergent residence when they were struck from behind about 7 a.m. Road conditions were icy. The second vehicle was driven by Jeremy Pikula, 28, Brainerd.
Sergent was not transported by ambulance, but was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Jones was transported to St. Joe's by North Ambulance. Pikula was transported to and treated at St. Joe's and released, according to the police report.
Sergent and Jones also were treated and released.
