Michael E. Lehner

BROOKLYN PARK -- Michael E. Lehner, 50, Brooklyn Park, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis.

He grew up and went to school in Crosby and spent a year at Bemidji State College. He spent four years in the Marine Corps. He married Coleen O'Brien. They later divorced. After the Marine Corps, he went to Staples Area Vo-Tech for two years to become a heavy equipment operator. He then moved to Milbank, S.D., to work. He married Loretta Pribbenow in September 1980. He moved to the Minneapolis area to continue work for the Local 49.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael Lehner, Duluth, Richard Remmers, Princeton; two daughters, Candice Lehner, Brooklyn Park, and Jennifer Remmers, Brooklyn Center; his mother, Evelyn Lehner; Crosby, two brothers, Herman Jr. and Chris Lehner; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Evans-Nordby Funeral Home in Osseo.

Friends may call one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
