Ryan Blasing, the son of Herschel and Kathy Blasing of Brainerd, graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a degree in elementary education.

Scott Thurlow, the son of James and Sharon Thurlow of Pequot Lakes, graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a degree in communications and German.

Alicia Rehnblom of Baxter and Amanda Seidl of Ironton were accepted for admission to Luther College for the 2003-04 academic year.

Laura Furda, the daughter of Dave and Cindy Furda of Brainerd, is studying in London during the fall semester through the Center for International Education at the College of St. Benedict's. Furda is a junior majoring in biology/pre-medicine.

The following area students graduated recently from Minnesota State University, Moorhead: Angela Pforr and David Sustercich, Brainerd High School graduates; Craig Noska, Staples-Motley High School graduate; and Gina Geary, Rebecca Ludovissie and Christina Schwartz, Verndale High School graduates.

The following students from Riverside Elementary School were named students of the month for November: Michael Struthers, Joseph Lambrecht, Callie Conklin, Abigail Sabir, Jayme Hanson, Lauren Rud, Geordon Goodell, Nadia Spencer, Samantha Buzzalini, Jack Foran, Chase Wickman, Kassie Otterness, Samantha Ramey, David Adamson, Quinn Impola, Joseph Frink, Alex Sauer, Joel Martin, Hallsey Olson, Ashley Banks and Brandon Crist.

Jean Sandberg, formerly of Brainerd, recently graduated from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Sandberg earned a degree in special education.
