Hilda Muzzy

CONCORD, Calif. -- Hilda Markuson Muzzy, 99, Concord, Calif., formerly of Brainerd, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000 in Concord.

She was born Jan. 18, 1901. A native of Brainerd, she lived in Concord for four years, previously living in Clayton, Calif. She was a homemaker and foster mom to 26 children. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Lutheran Church of the Cross, Berkeley, and Sons of Norway Lodge, Oakland.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Simons, Martinez, Calif.; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two area nephews, Gene Hornby and Walter Anderson, both of Brainerd.

Her first husband, Alfred Markuson, died in 1977, and her second husband, Larry Muzzy, died in 1992.

Services were Dec. 16, in Concord, Calif.
