Randy Willert was recently named branch manager of Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union's Brainerd office.
Willert has been with Mid-Minnesota for 15 years as a loan officer and as the credit union's consumer credit manager. As branch manager, Willert will oversee loans, member services and tellers. More than 15,000 of Mid-Minnesota's 25,000 members transact business at the Brainerd location.
Willert served as a member of Mid-Minnesota's education committee and as chairman for the Central Minnesota Chapter of Credit Unions. He is a member of the Sertoma Club of Brainerd and is active in a variety of community activities, including MMFCU-sponsored sports programs.
Three producers listed in directory
Three area producers were included in the latest edition of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture Specialty Meats Directory.
The directory features more than 120 Minnesota livestock producers and processors who sell directly to consumers. Area producers highlighted in this year's edition are A and J Buffalo Ranch of Pequot Lakes; Backus Locke, Backus; and Shamp's Meat Market, Pine River. The 2000-2001 Specialty Meats Directory is a guide for consumers looking for Minnesota farmers and processors who are direct marketers of meat and poultry products.

Simonson named LF employee of month
LITTLE FALLS -- Janet Simonson, Little Falls, a switchboard operator at St. Gabriel's Hospital, was named employee of the month by the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
Simonson has been employed at St. Gabriel's Hospital for seven years. In employer's comments for the award, Simonson was listed as a dedicated employee who was willing to go the extra mile.
Faacks hired as child care coordinator
Colleen Faacks was hired as child care center coordinator by Tri-County Community Action Program Inc.
The child care center, which will open Tuesday, is located in the TCC community offices and Early Childhood Center at 2410 Oak St. Faacks has been director of Trinity Children's Center in Brainerd since 1994. She has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Mankato State University and has 15 years experience as a child care provider and manager.
Qwest names vice president for state
John M. Stanoch is the vice president for Minnesota, Qwest Communications recently announced.
Stanoch will be based in Minneapolis and report to Chuck Ward, Qwest regional vice president for policy and law. Stanoch said Minnesota is rapidly becoming one of the most competitive markets in the country.
Stanoch comes to Qwest after serving as the chief deputy attorney general for Minnesota. Stanoch received his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his law degree from William Mitchell College of Law. He was a Hennepin County District Court judge from 1991 to 1999.
Counselors attend training
Mary Ellen Brauch and Mary Rose Grulke, family counselors with Catholic Charities Families First Program, attended a three-day training at the Cline Fay Institute in Golden, Colo., during October.
The training focused on facilitation of parenting groups using the Love and Logic curriculum developed by Jim Fay and Dr. Foster Cline. The Families First Program provides in-home services to families who are struggling with various issues that affect their ability to raise children.
Joe Sutton and Jane Pantzke, family counselors, completed eight days of training for Family Group Decision Making. The training focused on facilitation techniques and procedures that prepared them to hold family group conferences that bring extended family members together to devise a plan for long-term safety and stability of children who have experienced out-of-home placements.
