Over this holiday season, I've been fortunate to spend time at a variety of local volunteer opportunities, including ringing the bell for the Salvation Army. On every occasion, I noticed something remarkable - despite more families than ever facing economic challenges, generosity and goodwill towards those who have even less remains strong. It is clear people in our area understand that by sharing with others, all of our burdens are eased.
I've also been personally approached by many constituents regarding their unique personal challenges, most who believe they have nowhere else to turn. I am committed to working with all possible resources in our communities and state to help them address these challenges, and want to thank them for letting me help.
Thank you to all who continue to give so much and demonstrate daily the true meaning of this special season. I hope you had a very Merry Christmas, and best wishes for a Happy New Year.

Two solutions offered
Getting a little tired of the two people writing in the Open Forum and the Vox Pox complaining of the same thing. One lady constantly complains about abortions. Solution - don't get one! One complains about other drivers. Solution - take the bus! Try writing something positive, it'll make my day and maybe yours too.
