Texas Hold 'Em: How to play

The dealer is marked by a small token or chip, called the button. After each hand, the deal will move clockwise around the table.

The person to the left of the dealer is forced to bet the small blind, which is half the minimum bet.

The person to the left of the small blind is forced to bet the large blind, which is the minimum bet.

Each player is dealt two face-down cards and a round of betting ensues. Players may fold, bet the table minimum or raise.

Three cards are dealt face up in the middle of the table that any player can use to make a hand. This is called "The Flop." Another round of betting ensues.

One card is dealt face up in the middle of the table that any player can use to make a hand. This is called "The Turn." Another round of betting ensues.

One final card is dealt face up in the middle of the table that any player can use to make a hand. This is called "The River." A final round of betting ensues.

The remaining players reveal their cards. The player with the best five-card poker hand takes the pot.
