Four die in head-on collision near Elgin

ELGIN, Minn. (AP) -- Four people died and another person was injured in the head-on collision of a car and a pickup on a state highway Wednesday afternoon.

The pickup was passing another vehicle on Highway 42 when it struck the car two miles north of Elgin, said Kevin Smith, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.

The two people in the pickup were killed, along with two passengers in the car.
