HENNING -- Ruby Alveeda Quick, 64, Henning, died Dec. 24, 2001, at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
She was born Sept. 11, 1937, in Fergus Falls to Walter LeRoy and Florence (Gillette) Chesborough. She lived in Pinewood until 1948, when she moved with her family to Henning. She graduated from Henning High School. She married Ivan Quick on June 25, 1955, in Henning. They lived in Akron, Ohio, and then returned to Henning, where she worked as a cook at several area restaurants. From 1990 to 1995, they lived in Minneapolis, where she worked for the Minnesota State Patrol Academy as a cook. They returned to Henning. She was employed as a clerk at the B and D Grocery store in Henning for seven years.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Deborah Colombe, Little Falls, and Nadine Fraki, Baxter; two sons, Cameron Quick, Henning, and Todd Quick, Parkers Prairie; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Avis Vincent, Bemidji, Virginia Jolson, Tucson, Ariz., and JoAnn Thaemert, Centuria, Wis.; and a brother, LeRoy Chesborough, Henning.
Her parents; a granddaughter; two sisters, Dulcie and Sadie; and a brother, Grant, died earlier.
Services were today at Vining Lutheran Church in Vining with Pastor Mark Tiede officiating. Burial was in Girard Union Cemetery of rural Henning.
Arrangements were with Belmont Funeral Home in Henning.
