A 14-year-old Brainerd teen was injured Monday after the snowmobile he was driving struck a car on Southeast 13th Street and Industrial Park Road.

The accident happened about 2:45 p.m., the Brainerd Police Department reported.

Andrew Jordan was treated at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd and released.

The driver of the car, Eric Sullivan, 23, Brainerd, was not injured.

According to police, Jordan did not stop at the intersection while he was crossing Southeast 13th Street.

11-year-old boy dies in snowmobile accident near Milaca

MILACA (AP) -- An 11-year-old boy was killed Wednesday evening when he drove a snowmobile between two posts that had a cable strung between them.

The boy was riding alone in an area just north of Milaca, said Sgt. Richard Dukowitz of the Mille Lacs County Sheriff's Department. The department responded to the call at 6:10 p.m.

The boy died en route to the hospital. His name wasn't released pending notification of relatives.
