Downtown businesses in Brainerd were festively decorated this year and visitors to Downtown Brainerd businesses this December voted on the best decorated window and in-store displays for the People's Choice Awards.
More than 550 ballots were cast in businesses and online at DowntownBrainerd.com.
People's Choice Winners: First Place, Salvation Army Thrift Store receives the "Traveling Trophy;" Second Place, Mattie and Me Consignment Boutique; Honorable Mentions, Coco Moon and Tender Care Nursing & Home Management.
A panel of judges, including Kevin Goedker, Chuck Karnowski and Marta Mersereau, examined the window and in-store displays of each business before determining the Judges' Choice Awards.
