Festival of Trees
It truly was a celebration of giving and lasting memories were made at the Good Samaritan second annual Festival of Trees at Cragun's Legacy Clubhouse Nov. 20-27. Thanks to the festival committee volunteers: Susan Getts-Ackerman, Idalene Adams, Jeni Berg, Ann Bergin, Liz Csanda, Marian Duffy, Michael Edmunds, Lynn Franz, Joey Halverson, George and Mary Holtan, Kristin Larsen, Evie Marshall, Karla Nelson, Rick Mileski, Linda Rasinski, Nancy Krasean, Teresa Faust, Lana LeDoux, Lottie Oehrlein, Mykel Barthel, Cheryl Hills, Susanne Hohlen, Lilja Behr, Bethany Auxiliary, Woodland Wildflowers Red Hat Club, Carl Specht, Rhonda Mareck, Mary McCollough, Jeff Birks, Brenda Thibodo, Kevin Mathiowetz, Linda Turpin, Cathie Mayr, Kris Knowles, Sharon Carlson, Cheryl Gelbmann, Bonnie Cumberland, Gene Durham and Rory Coit.
Thanks also to each and every volunteer who helped greet visitors, roasted marshmallows or served refreshments. Of course there could not be a wonderland to stroll through without the help from The Light Depot and the 40 tree sponsors. Tree sponsors this year included area service leagues, American Legions, businesses, families and even a dance club.
Thanks to fabulous entertainment donated by area artisans who shared their gift of music, song and juggling. Thanks to the Brainerd FFA Program for providing a live nativity scene, to the Brainerd High School Chamber Orchestra groups and to the students from Garfield, Whittier, St. Francis and Pine River elementary schools for their artwork and visit.
Whether you were a sponsor, volunteer or guest we thank you for your support.
