Multiple arrests were made Thursday on a farm in Morrison County after a long-term investigation into narcotics activity in Granite Township.
Deputies from the Morrison County Sheriff's Department and agents from the Minnesota Drug Task Force seized about 60 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of nearly $7,200, a loaded sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun, a loaded .357 Magnum handgun and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.
Sheriff Michel Wetzel said the .357 Magnum was a stolen gun from Benton County. In addition to these items, one pound of marijuana and about $800 in cash was seized.
Arrested at the scene were a 23-year-old man from Hillman, a 24-year-old man and 23-year-old woman, both from St. Cloud, and a 20-year-old man from Little Falls. Two other people at the scene were questioned and released.
The four arrested were transported to the Morrison County Jail where they will be held pending the preparation of formal charges.
Wetzel commended his deputies and agents of the Central Minnesota Drug Task Force for their diligence and hard work in bringing this extended investigation to a successful conclusion.
"Any time we take that many drugs and illegal weapons off the street, we are making progress," Wetzel said in a news release.
