Frank L. Colvin
Frank L. Colvin, 80, of Brainerd, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Crosby Care Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with the Rev. Bob Hoeft. Friends are welcome to visit one hour prior to services. The interment will take place at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.
Frank Colvin
Frank was born June 28, 1929, in Waukegan, Ill., the son of George and Julia (Blazer) Colvin. After graduating high school, he worked for a manganese plant in Riverton. After that, Frank worked as a self-employed handyman. Frank was a member of Muskies Inc. He liked to hunt, fish and watch his grandchildren play sports.
Frank will be missed by his wife, Betty; his children, Karen (Keith) Pikula, Sharon (Ronald) Beach, Roxanne Jensen, Dana Colvin, David Colvin, Debbie (John) Johnson and Lynn (James) Brown; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his brother, Walter (Marsha) Colvin; and his sister, Violet Imerfall. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings and three grandchildren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
