Another Level 3 predatory offender plans to live in Crow Wing County.
The predatory offender is identified as 36-year-old Christopher Eugene Wheeler. Wheeler is described as a white male with a fair complexion, who is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 138 pounds and he has brown eyes and brown hair.

Wheeler, who will be the third Level 3 predatory offender living in Crow Wing County, will be living in the vicinity of County Road 8 and Cooley Drive in Roosevelt Township in rural Brainerd.
According to the sheriff's office, Wheeler has a history of sexual conduct with juvenile female victims between the ages of 10-15. The offender was known to his victims.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department plans to hold a Level 3 predatory offender public notification presentation at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at the Roosevelt Town Hall at 22613 County Road 2, Brainerd. The meeting will provide more information to residents.
Minnesota law requires that community notification meetings occur when a Level 3 predatory offender moves into a local jurisdiction. While the law does not prevent these people from moving or living in any particular area, it does allow local residents to be aware of it so they can take steps to safeguard themselves.
Predatory offender levels range from Level 1 offenders who are considered a minor risk up to Level 3, which means the person is the most likely to reoffend.
Sgt. Joe Meyer with the Crow Wing County sheriff's office said Wheeler was arrested in April 1998 in the county on first-degree criminal sexual conduct and has been in custody since that time. Meyer said the majority of Wheeler's sentence was in prison.
Meyer said currently Wheeler is in Crow Wing County jail and he is set to move to the Roosevelt address on Dec. 31.
