My best present ever

It all began on Christmas Eve. My mom, brothers and I went for a ride around town looking at all the colorful Christmas lights. We drove downtown and through some side streets and almost everybody had Christmas lights up. Our Christmas ride lasted about 25 minutes. When our ride was over, we drove into our driveway.

My dad was sitting on the steps in front of the house. He was holding something white and fuzzy. When we pulled up in the driveway my brothers and I figured out that my dad was holding a puppy!

The puppy was white and had brown streaks on her ears. She had brown streaks on her back, too. It was like she had brown ears and a white body except the top part of her back. I got to name her. I named her Lizzie. When she was little my dad bought her a collar.. It was yellow, green, orange and pink. It had the cutest little bell and it was green just for the holidays. We bought her a doggy bed, too. She didn't sleep in it much. She usually slept on the couch.

She is a house dog. When she was little she barked if someone rang the doorbell or knocked on the door. She still does that now. If you come to my house and ring the doorbell she will run down our stairs and bark.

We all love Lizzie very much. We miss her when we have to leave her to go on trips or just an hour-long trip. When we drive somewhere we have a window by our door that goes straight down. Whenever we leave Lizzie looks at us until we drive away. That is how much she loves our family.

Our Lizzie is the best Christmas present ever!
