Another Kinship Partners' Christmas Party for kids and adult partners has just taken place. All who attended had a wonderful time, thanks to the many helpers we had. The Women of the Moose provided beverages to all partygoers and supplied cookies for everyone to decorate. The Brainerd Women of Today provided materials and "woman" power that enabled all who attended to make beautiful Christmas decorations. Students from Claire Steen's wellness class at Pequot Lakes High School (Wes, Shane, Lisa, Laura, Mariah, Taneal, Spencer, Steph, Dana and Ashley) as well as students from the Underhill/Bundy Confirmation Class from Brainerd Area Catholic Churches (Samantha, LeeAnn, Darin, Chris, Colton and Josh) provided hands-on help with games, crafts and photography. Karen and Johanna at our Christmas card station helped everyone design and decorate cards they could give to loved ones. As usual, the highlight of the afternoon was a visit from Santa (Mark Ulm) Claus who distributed Christmas gifts to all of the children. Members of First Lutheran Church of Brainerd, Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Pequot Lakes and Immanuel Lutheran Church of Crosby generously filled Santa's sleigh with all of these gifts. Thank you to all of you for helping us with this annual event.
