Christmas message

This is a Christmas message from President Bush. "As you gather with your family for holiday dinners, please remember to be sure you, your family and all the children are all wearing proper flak jackets because I've made so darn many enemies I can't keep track of them all. Remember, your government has done all it can. We posted an orange flag."

A suggestion

On Dec. 21, there was an article about a couple of college students and renting apartments. The article started with "people of color." I have a problem with that statement referring to African-Americans or any other nationality that has darker skin. I want to point out to the newspaper that you are re-enforcing racial prejudice in this community by using those words. I have two children that are half African-American and I am of mixed races but am seen as white by average population. I would like you to word it differently: people with different ethnic backgrounds.

Supports capital punishment

It would be very interesting if The Dispatch would do a study on how much Alfonso Rodriquez has cost the taxpayers so far. A few years ago that was done for what they called the client status security hospital and it was well over $100,000 a year per client. We need to all get behind Gov. Pawlenty on capital punishment.
