Radio stations raising money for ten years for child abuse. Thousands of dollars but the abuse goes on. To end this we need to punish the people responsible. Sad for kids, but better than being abused again.
Designating a driver so everyone can drink 'til they throw up or pass out and forget everything or even die. Would you enjoy Christmas driving around a bunch of drunk people, if their friends tell them to stay home and celebrate the holiday.
Letting people out of jail who have abused and raped women or children. If they are so bad, why let them out? Maybe we should re-learn the words maximum security or isolation and bread and water. Two words; Judicial overhaul.
Thousands worried if Wall Street will hit 10,000. When in the real world the body count goes over the 300 mark. Corporate executives stealing millions. Take that money and feed our children and build houses for homeless. Good things!
Demands on politicians to change things. Nothing is done or no one thinks so. Then when a bill is signed no one likes any part of it. Whining too expensive, not soon enough, people left out, on and on. Answer: Run for office and do your part and see what you can do!
These are all sad things in our world. We can't change all of them by ourselves. We need each other, every "race," every "human." America is full of good people and so is Brainerd. Choose something. Do your best. Things can change. Teamwork. Life is so short, be happy. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Mr Richard (Dick) Simkanin, owner of Arrow Plastics in Bedford, Texas, sits in a Fort Worth, Texas jail as a political prisoner of Judge John H. McBryde who hates people he presumes to be "tax evaders."
Mr Simkanin's problem is this -- he has read the laws regarding federal income tax withholding. And has decided he didn't want to act as an agent of the government (IRS). So he stopped doing it.
Well you can imagine how the IRS, which has been perpetrating this fraud for so many years reacted to someone reading the law. (well we can't have that now can we?) They bring the full press (a little basketball lingo here) of prosecution into the court but can't seem to convince the jury that there is a law.
Then the jury after his trial votes 11 - 1 in favor of acquittal and Judge McBryde is having a cow.
Mr. Simkanin can't get due process in this judge's court and people are starting to take notice.
