MOORHEAD (AP) -- Breckenridge High School football coach Terry Horan is returning to Concordia-Moorhead, this time as head coach.
Horan, who was football assistant and athletic recruiting coordinator for the Cobbers from 1997 to 1999, will succeed Jim Christopherson, who is retiring at the end of the year after 32 years as head coach.
Horan was a three-time All-MIAC wide receiver at Concordia, and in 1988 was a first-team All-American.
"Terry consistently coached successful teams and he knows how to recruit exceptional student athletes, which he proved during his time as assistant coach here," said athletic director Armin Pipho.
Horan said he was eager to meet with staff and players before hitting the recruiting.
