The Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division made several drug arrests last week in Brainerd, according to Crow Wing County Sheriff Dick Ross.
On Wednesday, a traffic stop on a man on Highway 371 produced just less than one ounce of methamphetamine, seized cash and a seized vehicle.
Crow Wing County Deputy Pat Pickar, along with his K-9 partner, Nike, stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. Nike alerted Pickar to the presence of meth in the vehicle during the stop and the driver was arrested. The estimated street value of the meth was $2,000.
Derik Shannon Zigmund, 23, address unknown, was charged Friday in Crow Wing County Court with first degree sale of a controlled substance, a felony.
Also on Wednesday, the drug task force executed a search warrant at a residence on Bonnie Lake Road. Two males and two females were arrested at the home. Seized from the residence was one ounce of methamphetamine and cash. One male and two women were formerly charged in Crow Wing County Court Friday.
William Henry Albrecht, 26, Brainerd, was charged with fifth degree sale of a controlled substance, a felony. Alicen Dee Mattson, 23, Brainerd, was charged with fifth degree possession of a controlled substance. Tanya DeRosier, 19, Brainerd, was charged with gross misdemeanor and misdemeanor charges of giving false information to a police officer.
