ST. CLOUD -- The Little Falls Flyers fell to the St. Cloud Tech Tigers 5-1 in a Central Lakes Conference boys' hockey game Thursday.
Little Falls scored its only goal in the second period when Issac Smieja tallied, assisted by Peter Herman. Little Falls kept it close until the third period when it gave up three goals.
"We hung in there as best we could," said Little Falls coach Tony Couture. "We had a couple mental breakdowns where we scored and then they scored two quick goals within a minute.
"We just can't give people opportunities with mental mistakes. Despite not winning the game I feel we are still playing good hockey."
