Brainerd police are investigating the deaths of two people Saturday in separate incidents.
Brainerd Police Chief John Bolduc said that at 9:32 a.m. Saturday, police were called to the 700 block of Laurel Street after someone discovered the body of a man on a balcony behind a building.
The 47-year-old man, whose name wasn't released Saturday while relatives were notified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Bolduc said the cause of death wasn't known Saturday but that nothing suggested foul play was involved.
Bolduc said the cause of death would be determined through an autopsy with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office.
"We just don't know at this point," Bolduc said.
The second death, a 64-year-old man, was reported at about 11 a.m. at a residence on the 600 block of Southwest Fourth Street. The man's name wasn't released Saturday.
Bolduc said a neighbor checking the house found the victim and called 911. He said the investigation points to it being self-inflicted.
