Anderson swims well in BHS loss

Junior Jared Anderson swam the fastest 100 backstroke in the last 11 years of Brainerd boys' swimming with a time of 57.86 for the Warriors as they defeated the visiting Rocori Spartans 107-72 Thursday.

The swim was an exhibition, however, as the Spartans officially took the event.

The Warriors' Andrew Goll won the 100 and 200 freestyles. Joshua Sachs won the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.

Also winning on the night was the 200 medley relay team of Michael Brekken, Joshua Sachs, Michael Ruen and Even Reese.

Reese also won the 50 freestyle, Ruen won the 100 butterfly and William Henningson won the 500 freestyle.

Jared Anderson swam the fastest BHS time in 11 years.

Junior varsity winners included the 200 medley relay team of Keenan Goodrich, Joseph Fritscher, Nicholas Swenson and Thomsen; Sam Dellacecca (200 free); Joseph Fritscher (200 individual medley, 100 breaststroke); Peter Jacobsen (50 freestyle); Chris Dens (100 fly, 100 back); Trevor Howard (100 free) and Bradyn Watson (500 free).

The 200 free relay team of Dellececca, Joseph Fristscher, Zachary Schneider and Clark Eggen and the 400 free relay team of Bradyn Watson, Nicholas Swenson, Corey Kuglin and Ethan Davis also won.
