First Congregational United Church of Christ will celebrate a service of Lessons and Carols at 5 p.m. Monday.

A brass ensemble will accompany caroling. Actor and singer Tom Schmid will return to the church of his childhood to be the featured soloist.

Candlelight services planned

PILLAGER - First Lutheran Church in Pillager will have candlelight services at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday.

Bethel Lutheran Christmas candlelight service planned

Bethel Lutheran will hold a candlelight communion service at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Bethel is located on the corner of Thompson Road and Five Mile Road.

Bethany Lutheran to have candlelight service

CUSHING - Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing will have a candlelight service at 7 p.m. Monday.

Christmas Eve services planned

The First Presbyterian Church of Brainerd will observe its annual Christmas Eve candlelight service at 5 p.m. Monday. The Christmas story will be presented with the singing of carols, narration, special music and a meditation by the Rev. Harold Tongen.

Trinity Lutheran to celebrate Christmas

Trinity Lutheran Church of Brainerd will begin a week of Christmas celebration with a 9 a.m. Sunday service of Lessons and Carols.

The Christmas season continues with three worship services on Monday. Traditional family Christmas Eve services will be at 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. A special candlelight worship service will be at 11 p.m. Pastor David P. Holte will share the Christmas message at all three worship services.

There also will be a student recognition contemporary service at 9 a.m. Dec. 30 in which six Trinity College students will be awarded scholarships.

MERRIFIELD - The Community Church of the Nazarene in Merrifield will have Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m.

The church is located at 21704 Co. Rd. 3 in Merrifield.

BAXTER - Lord of Life Lutheran Church and Rejoice Lutheran Church will have Christmas Eve candlelight services at 4 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. at the Forestview Middle School in Baxter.

The message of the Savior's birth will be shared in word, music and Sacrament.
