Tech edges JV swimmers
Ryan Hanson won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:29.92 and Robert Hanson won the 200 individual medley in 1:19.36 in the Brainerd Warriors 62-59 junior varsity swimming and diving loss to the St. Cloud Tech Tigers Thursday.
The Warriors also won two relays, taking the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:21.98 and the 200 freestyle relay at 2:05.10.
Two Warrior skiers have banner days
Brainerd Warrior girls' nordic skier Katherine Mueller won the junior high 2.5-kilometer race at the Mount Itasca Invitational Friday with a time of 8:13.
Carissa Schmidt placed fifth in the junior varsity 3.75-km race as she skied to a time of 14:36.
Warriors JV girls fall
ALEXANDRIA -- Brainerd's Cara Wiltse led the Warriors with nine points, but it was the Alexandria Cardinals that came away with a 40-34 victory in girls' junior varsity basketball action Thursday.
