State Sen.-elect Paul Koering, R-Fort Ripley, has received committee assignments for his freshman term in the Minnesota Senate. He has been named to serve on the Agriculture, General Legislation and Veterans Affairs Committee; the Capital Investment Committee, and the Health and Human Services and Corrections Budget Division.
"I'm pleased with my assignments," said Koering in a statement. "I ran for this office because I want to be a strong advocate for the issues that are important to our district: diversifying and strengthening our rural economy, reforming Minnesota's health care and long term care systems, addressing our district's transportation needs, and improving education.
