Orlyn I. Larson

HACKENSACK -- Orlyn Ida Larson, 84, Hackensack, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2001, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.

She was born April 26, 1917, in Waverly to Albert and Hattie Gabbert. She attended school in the Webb Lake and Hackensack areas. After high school, she worked with the WPA youth movement. In 1938, she married John Larson. They lived in Hackensack until 1941 when they moved to Red Lake Falls. They moved to Farmington in 1945 and then moved to Mankato until their retirement. They moved back to Hackensack in 1974. She was active in the church and community choirs. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hackensack and was active in the ladies' groups.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Roger Larson, Forest Lake; two daughters, Judith Dahlin, Savage, and Beth Kramer, Robbinsdale; four grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Harvey, Hackensack.

A sister, Doris Peterson, died earlier.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hackensack with the Rev. Thea Monson officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Hackensack. Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Friends may call an hour before services Saturday at the church.
