STAPLES -- Darlene Cizek, 74, Staples, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001, at the St. Cloud Hospital.
She was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Staples to Alfred and Gina (Holman) Hindahl. She attended school in Staples. She married Edward F. Cizek on Oct. 21, 1945, in Staples. They lived and farmed near Browerville and later moved to Staples. She worked as a seamstress for Carter Ringer and Pine Country. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Maddix, Atlanta, Ga.; four sons, Ronald Cizek, Wahpeton, N.D., Michael Cizek, Menahga, Douglas Cizek, Breckenridge, and Jeffrey Cizek, Nisswa; a sister, Georgia Ringler, Osseo; a brother, Arnold Hindahl, Stillwater; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her parents; her husband; a son, Norman; two sisters, Adeline Baier and Donna Hall; and a granddaughter died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples with Pastor Bradley Skogen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. today at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
