EXTRA CREDIT

Andrea Marie Fontaine, Brainerd, has received a bachelor of arts degree from Kansas State University.

Heather Gregory, daughter of Joel and Teresa Gregory, Pequot Lakes, has been selected as Student of the Month for December by the Youth Activities Committee of Brainerd Elks Lodge No. 615. She is a senior at Pequot Lakes High School and is involved in competitive speech, student theater, the Log Church Youth Group and Creative Illusions Improv Troupe. She is the recipient of the Comprehensive Arts Planning Program Award and is secretary of the Speech Club. She plans on attending Northwestern College in St. Paul and majoring in communication arts/literature education.

The Brainerd Elks Lodge Student of the Month program runs September through May. Students are awarded a $200 scholarship during the recognition dinner in May.
