Arns scores 1,000th point but BHS loses

ALEXANDRIA -- Going into Thursday's girls' basketball game against the Alexandria Cardinals, Brainerd's Megan Arns needed 15 points to reach 1,000 in her career.

The junior forward scored 26, finished the game with 1,011, but the Warriors suffered a 46-44 loss in overtime.

The Warriors nearly snuck away with a victory as a last-second jump shot went off the rim at the end of overtime.
