ST. CLOUD - The Brainerd Warriors trailed 28-27 at the half against Central Lakes Conference foe St. Cloud Apollo. But behind 20 points from Tess Rahto and 18 from KB Capers, the Warriors recovered in the second half for a 68-58 victory Tuesday.
"We were pretty good putting the ball inside against a smaller Apollo club," said Warriors coach Carl Hendrickson. "We didn't play very well on the defensive end and the rebounding was not up to our standards but the win was good one to have."
Emilee Branum added 11 points and the Warriors shot 52 percent from the field and were 6-8 at the free throw line on their way to their third victory in the last four games.
