The final open house for the downtown Brainerd reconstruction project will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St.
The open house will include previews of work on the sanitary sewer, storm sewer, possible fire lines, streets, sidewalks and street furniture. A 90 percent complete design of the streets and sidewalks also will be presented
The next step after this open house is for the Brainerd City Council to review the final design and give approval so an advertisement of bids can occur. After advertisement, the consultants are hoping to open bids in February.
Crosslake council to meet Thursday in special session
CROSSLAKE - The Crosslake City Council plans to meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at city hall for a special session.
The council plans to review a fire department recommendation on the sale of the Ford F750 fire truck, approve year-end fund transfers, approve bills for payment received through Dec. 17, approve paying bills received between Dec. 18-31, review 2009 budget adjustment from personnel committee, review donation to Crosslake Food Shelf from vendor payment on unauthorized purchase for which delivery was refused, review/approve revised Wild Haven final plat and review WSN proposal documenting easements and approved plats in downtown area.
