Northwest to charge for overweight bags

EAGAN (AP) -- Northwest Airlines on Sunday began using the new fee structure for heavy bags it created in response to increasing back inj-uries among workers.

The airline will charge $50 for a bag weighing between 50 and 70 pounds and $100 for a bag weighing between 70 and 100 pounds.
