Ramona Breneman, age 65, of Baxter, died Monday evening at her home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter with Rev. Joe Kresky officiating. Friends may call beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date.
Ramona Breneman was born on Oct. 17, 1940, in Woonsocket, S.D., the daughter of Howard and Lorene (Bezpaletz) Taylor. She was called from this life Monday evening, Dec. 12, 2005, at her home in Baxter. She attained the age of 65 years, 1 month, and 25 days.
Ramona grew up in Woonsocket, graduating from high school there. After high school she went on to attend nursing school in Huron. After her first marriage she worked as a nurse's aide. In 1972 she began her career with the Burlington Northern Railroad, working in a number of places, retiring in February 1997. On Oct. 5, 1996, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Breneman in Garrison, Minn.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Lorene. She is mourned in passing by her husband, Kenneth; children, Tamara (Steven) Benoit, Duluth, Scott Erdahl, Centuria, Wis., Linda Elliott, Brooklyn Center; stepdaughter, Martha (Brian) Ahlschager, Isanti; sisters, Virginia Hade, Missouri City, Texas, Hope Birdsill, Leadville, Colo., Pamela Cave, Beaver City, Neb.; brother, Phillip Taylor, Ottumwa, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. Arrangements are pending with the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
