Bundy to play in NCAA championship

Brainerd High School graduate Justin Bundy is a member of the St. John's University football team that will play unbeaten Mount Union in the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl for the NCAA Division III championship Saturday at Salem, Va.

Bundy starts on special teams and is the top reserve linebacker for the Johnnies who are 13-1. The contest will be televised on ESPN2 beginning at 11 a.m.

This season Bundy has six tackles, three unassisted and three assisted, one tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery.

Bundy, a 1999 BHS graduate, was an all-conference player and an outstate all-star selection his senior year as a Warrior.
