DETROIT LAKES -- Class 2A's second-ranked Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines wrestling team finished off its two opponents in quick fashion Thursday, defeating the Crosby-Ironton Rangers 71-0 and the Detroit Lakes Lakers 55-9.
Of the 19 matches that the Wolverines wrestled, 10 of them ended with a pin. Of those pins, six were registered in the first period.
The Wolverines' domination was led by Ken Steffens and Zach Snyder, each of whom recorded two pins.

Dave Voeltz, Keith Bowman, Adam Richter, Drew Schmidt, and Casey Finck all pinned their foes for the Raiders.
Shane Walton picked up one of two wins for the Road Crew. Corey Swenson picked up the other Road Crew win with a forfeit.
