Traveling team tryouts Saturday at Forestview

Fourth- and fifth-grade boys' and girls' tryouts for traveling basketball teams sponsored by the Brainerd Basketball Association are scheduled Saturday at Forestview Middle School in Baxter.
Tryouts will be from noon to 2 p.m. following the last BYAA games.
Hanowski player of week
Ben Hanowski has been named the Central Lakes Conference boys' hockey player of the week ending Dec. 8.
The Little Falls junior had three goals and two assists against Sartell.
Hendrickson to speak to boosters club
Brainerd Warrior girls' basketball coach Carl Hendrickson will be the speaker at the Brainerd Sports Boosters Club meeting, which begins at noon Thursday at the Moose Lodge.
Gymnast Sam Smith, the Warrior Athlete of the Week, will be honored.
