Warriors, Tigers tie at Apollo invite

ST. CLOUD -- The Brainerd Warriors boys' swimming and diving team found out who its competition for the Central Lakes Conference crown will be this season.

The Warriors and the St. Cloud Tech Tigers tied for first place at the St. Cloud Apollo Invitational Saturday as both team finished with 176 team points.

The Warriors took first in five relays and won the diving competition as well. Brett Severson helped the Warriors win the 200-yard medley relay, the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 free relay.

Josiah Collins was also on the medley relay and 400 freestyle relay teams as well as guiding the 850 freestyle relay team to a victory.

Tim Lange was also on three winning relays, the 200 and 400 freestyle as well as the winning 300 backstroke team.
