BHS boys, girls 4th at invite

ST. CLOUD - The Brainerd Warriors boys' and girls' Nordic ski teams each placed fourth in the St. Cloud Apollo Invite at the VA Medical Center Tuesday.

The Warrior boys compiled a team score of 65 and the girls a score of 85.

The top finisher for the Brainerd boys was junior Pat Mangan in sixth place with a time of 15:57. Brainerd's top girl finisher was senior Katherine Mueller in sixth with a time of 17:53.

The Little Falls girls' team took first with a team score of 21 points. Four Flyer girls finished in the top 10, including Melissa Kempenich (2nd), Molly Binger (3rd), Jackie Thelen (7th) and Beth Hauer (9th).

The Flyer boys' team finished third with a team score of 62. Kyle Czech was the highest finisher for Little Falls in fourth place.
