Couple killed in collision ID'd

NISSWA - The husband and wife who died after their pickup struck a tree near Nisswa early Sunday morning have been identified as 51-year-old John Douglas Babinski and 52-year-old Kathi Susan Babinski, both of Nisswa.

The collision happened about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department reported. The Babinskis were driving on Crow Wing County Road 18 when their pickup left the roadway and struck a tree. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
