Brainerd area volunteers are asking for help in completing a home for a family of 10 that is in need.

Through donations the family was able to receive a home that was moved from Fort Ripley to Brainerd and now needs help in completing the basement and other constructional necessities. The family currently is living in a mobile home that needs to be torn down.

The family needs money donations, lumber and supplies, windows, a front door, electrical supplies, appliances, flooring, furniture and labor.

Crow Wing Power, two State Patrol troopers, Thompson Concrete, Bauerly Brothers, Hengel Ready Mix and Construction, civic clubs, churches and many area lumber, electrical and plumbing companies volunteered their time to help with the construction as well as other donations.

The Eagles Club is sponsoring a hamburger benefit for the family from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the club. For more information please call LaVonne at 829-5515 or Connie at 829-0149.
