Marlowe Dean Peterson, Brainerd, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1951, in Milbank, S.D., to Henry and May (Lindahl) Peterson.
He married Cindi McCalvy on June 2, 1994, in Las Vegas. He was retired from Xcel Energy after 35 years as a hydro-operator/mechanic. He volunteered at the VFW. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, golfing and bowling. He was a member of the Light of The Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Cindi, Brainerd; his sons, Justin, Prior Lake, Troy, Hastings; his daughter, Missy (Charlie) Arneson, Granite Falls; and two grandchildren, Jordin and Colton; also survived by his mother, May Peterson, Granite Falls; and his brothers, Joe (Marilyn), Maple Grove, Brad, Ham Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at 11 a.m. at the Light of the Cross Lutheran Church in Garrison with Pastor Chris Hill officiating. Interment will be in the Garrison Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
