Potlatch Corp. announced a $12 million capital investment in the Brainerd paper mill. The project is expected to be a first step in long-range plans to modernize the Brainerd facility.

E. W. Hallett of Crosby recently made provisions in his trust fund for a substantial contribution to the newly established Camp Confidence Foundation.

Brainerd scoring from a squad which gave the appearance of unusual depth was the feature of an 83-54 opening basketball win of the season over Milaca for Fred Kellet's Brainerd High School Warriors.

Six members of the Brainerd Snipers Club shot at Deerwood last night and Vincent Kampmann emerged with high score of the evening with 377.

R.F.B. Cote, head of Camp Lincoln for boys is in Dallas, Texas, engaged in extension work for the camp. Mr. Cote is also doing much publicity work of benefit to Brainerd and the lake country.
