Kinship Partners has a young girl in fourth grade, Faye, who describes herself as "quiet, active, shy, happy and friendly" and is just waiting and waiting for someone to have fun with.
Many of you read the Child in Need column every week and wonder about these children. Today we have a special little girl, Faye, who really needs a partner right now. In her short 10 years of life Faye has at times assumed the responsibility of "mom" in the household. She has three younger brothers and a sister. She is a take-charge person and has not even had time to be a child.
She enjoys school and needs help with reading and math. Her mom is addicted to drugs and no longer has time or a need for Faye. Her dad talks to her on the phone a couple times a week but is unable to be in the area at this time. The brothers and sisters have been placed in homes outside Minnesota and Faye came to Minnesota to live with Grandma.
In her interview she does not list one friend her age, only adults. She has a wide variety of interests and things she would like to do, such as drawing, going on a picnic, movies, camping, singing and especially wanting to learn to cook. Faye has a wonderful imagination and is willing to try anything new.
Faye's partner will have a fun time with her because of her bubbly personality and very kind soul. Christmas is a time of giving of our gifts, and your time is needed for this little girl. Whether you are younger, older, single or married, your time would be valued with Faye.
