Warrior boys swim to Apollo Relays title

ST. CLOUD -- The Brainerd Warriors boys' swimming and diving team opened its season Saturday by winning the St. Cloud Apollo Relays on Saturday.

The Warriors won three events -- the 200-yard medley relay, 200 freestyle relay and the 600 freestyle relay. The Warriors were runners-up in all but one other event.

On the winning 200 medley team were Matt Schmitz, Scott Antolak, Josh Schirmer and Ty Goeman. The 200 free relay consisted of Jason Howard, Bruce Droogsma, Darren Clabo and Ty Goeman. The 600 freestyle relay was made up of Tyler Rosnau, Clabo, Miles Krueger and Droogsma. Brainerd divers Shaun Kennedy, Jade Whirley and Dylan Pollansch also won their relay.
