BENA -- A Deer River man is in critical condition today following a two-vehicle, head-on collision Monday on Highway 2, three miles east of Bena.

Corey Wilson, 22, was driving westbound on Highway 2 when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by Jamey Danielson, 31, Shevlin, the State Patrol reported.

Wilson, who was not wearing a seat belt, the State Patrol reported, suffered serious injuries. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, where today he was reported in critical condition in the hospital's Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit.
