Board OKs salary increases
WALKER - Cass County Board members voted Thursday to increase their annual salaries by 3 percent to $25,056.08 and increase elected department head salaries 3 percent, the same percentage increase as negotiated for union employees last year for a three-year contract.

MINNEAPOLIS - Evangeline "Vangie" Zupko-Vados, age 76, of Minneapolis, Minn., formerly of Flensburg, Minn., passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, Minn.
